Chef Victoria Hobal has 14 years of culinary experience in such exclusive Toronto hot spots as Jamie Kennedy’s Wine Bar, Oyster Boy, and the Oliver Bonacini restaurant, Canoe. She trained at the Stratford Chef School where she completed her required 6,000 hour apprenticeship and holds both a Red Seal/Journeyman designation and an OISE Technological Education Diploma. She brings not only this elite training, but also her warm personality and adventurous & elegant approach to cuisine to all of her catered events, be they intimate dinner parties or boisterous holiday events. Over the past 6 years she has served as the Curriculum leader of Hospitality in the Toronto District School Board, where she oversees a kitchen of student chefs who create a myriad of innovative and classic recipes daily for a school of 2,000. She spends her summers running a gourmet booth of speciality preserves and pickled goods at the Withrow Farmers’ Market and teaching culinary skills to youth at one of Canada’s leading summer camps, Camp Manitou.
